MY PHILOSOPHY
A good morning sets the tone for the day.
Every time I wake up early with an extra hour me time – I feel great.
I have no time pressure.
I can do everything more mindful and relaxed.
I feel ahead of the game.
A fresh start, brings me a fresh day.
WHAT IS MY MORNING ROUTINE?
I wake up usually between 5:30 and 6:00 AM.
My alarm rings across the room so I have to stand up to turn it off.
Afterwards I go to the bathroom, brush my teeth.
And then all the fun begins.
I roll out my yoga mat and sit on it for a bit in quite.
I breathe a little and then I meditate.
This is the part I love the most.
I recite my affirmations for about 5 minutes and continue by
a short visualization of my day or my perfect life.
This is especially fun because it not only lifts my mood, but also helps me to keep my goals right in front of my eyes and motivates me to act towards my vision.
After I’m done with the quite part of my morning, I stand up and do some exercises.
Usually its some yoga, but on other days when I’m running late I just do some
crunches, squats and push ups.
If I have some time left, I do some journaling. Usually I like to just let my thoughts flow on paper. Or if something is bothering me I like to write a short poem to process it.
Last but not least – I read.
Currently I am reading Harry Potter 7 and The Subtle Art of not Giving a F**k!
Or I just read a blog post and have my breakfast.
I love to experiment with smoothies recently. So this is a part of the morning I always look forward to.
CHANGES
I always allow some changes in my routine if I have some time pressure.
I usually leave out the exercise because it is the most time-consuming.
I prioritize the quite time over exercise because it gives me more peace of mind during the day.
Since I am on the Project 333 challenge I am not losing time in the morning to pick up what to wear. This project has saved me a lot of time and stress. 🙂
_____________
Do you have a morning routine? And did you maybe write a blog post about it?
Let me know in the comments I would love to read it. ❤
This sounds absolutely brilliant – especially your visualisations. I’m working on a better routine and that will DEFINITELY have to be added in x

My Hindustani Singing teacher said – “morning starts the day” (applicable from all angles!) I always repeat this quote if I wake up in a grump!
